The first tomatoes and other garden stories

It’s already September, and we’ve only had two batches of ripe tomatoes.

When everyone is pulling up their garden, we’re just getting our first fruits.

It can be disappointing.

Unfortunately, as usual, the dogs got in the garden again this year, and most of my plant labels disappeared, so I’m not even sure what I’m eating.

I’ll have to go through the seeds and see if I remember what they were, because one of them, a small red tomato with pale yellow stripes was delicious! Hopefully, I can at least figure out that one was.

We have had some green beans, and a few raspberries, but that’s all we’ve had this year.

The strawberries were eaten before we got to them, so that was pretty disappointing.

So, how is your garden growing?

Is anyone else just getting any produce, or am I the only late one?

What are you planning on doing to prepare the beds for winter?

We weren’t able to have a garden this year :( I usually at least grow tomatoes! Maybe next year…
